Electronics & Communications Social Club
The pursuit of professional development through social events and study.
A social club focused on our trade...
The following is my opinion: it is not reflective of views held by the Australian Defence Force.
The Electronics & Communications trade certificate covers a broad range of jobs within industry. As a Tradesman in Australia, one could expect to be working anywhere from mining to agriculture, radio communications to security or even automation to aerospace!
But what do they have in common apart from a certificate handed to them by an RTO? These jobs require passionate problem solvers with a penchant for science and technology! Emerging technology is best understood by those who want to learn about it. It is our aim to connect likeminded individuals within our trade.
As a social club I’d like to address that gap between ourselves as Tradesmen and Industry. The best way to do that is to do what industry does: sit in a pub and talk about it.
When you surround yourself with other tradies, have a yarn and smash a parmy you do two often forgotten things that are primarily neglected in a trade dominated by introverted "internet weirdos"; it gets us passionate about our work (feeling pride in our craftmanship) and creates a sense of camaraderie (leads to professional development through mentorship and peer guidance).
